German flexible-packaging converter Wipak Walsrode GmbH recently completed a successful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of its new Nordmeccanica laminating and coating lines to be installed within Wipak Group.

The FAT was executed at the Piacenza facility of Nordmeccanica, with the Wipak team present, confirming the high quality and performance of the machinery prior to shipment. Test in-house is a distinctive value of Nordmeccanica, guaranteeing maximum verification and minimal risk for clients before installation.

Wipak, constantly focused on innovation, once again chose Nordmeccanica technology for its Walsrode GmbH site. The project involves two Duplex Combi Linear machines in a tandem configuration, which represents a state-of-the-art solution for increased productivity and superior flexibility.

This specific tandem setup marks a milestone for Wipak, as it has been specifically designed to meet the growing demand of next-generation materials. Thanks to this advanced configuration, Wipak is able to significantly expand its product range, consolidating its leadership in the high-performance solutions arena.

The machines feature in-line coating weight management, thanks to an integrated Nordmeccanica CWM system developed in synergy with Nordson, ensuring operational efficiency and consistent quality of the final product. During the FAT sessions, Nordmeccanica also hosted and trained the Wipak operating personnel who will be running the machines at the Walsrode site, ensuring a seamless transition to full production activity.
