Goldenrod Corporation expands winding-roll repair facility, adds large-scale CNC machining

December 9, 2025

Beacon Falls, CT-based Goldenrod Corporation, maker of web-handling components for paper, film, foil and nonwovens converting, has completed its second expansion to increase carbon-fiber production, enlarge its repair department and enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.

The addition, the company’s second in the past six years, brings Goldenrod’s total facility to almost 50,000 sq ft. At the center of the additional space is a 360-in., 47,000-lb CNC machine for mill-duty winding mandrels.

“The addition was necessary to meet our customers’ needs,” says Goldenrod CFO Stephen Pretto. “Increased efficiency means increased production and faster turnaround. We also have added a roll-handling section used to demonstrate new machines and products. My goal is to incrementally improve products and services to our customer base, and this addition will do just that.”

To schedule winding rolls for repair, contact Goldenrod at cservice@goldenrodcorp.com or 203-723-4400.
