Global label & product-decoration market to grow 3.5% CAGR to 2027: AWA report

March 16, 2025

In its newly released report, AWA Labeling & Product Decoration Market Recovery and Outlook, Netherlands-based researcher AWA Alexander Watson Associates says the labeling field showed signs of recovery in 2024, with a particular rebound in the pressure-sensitive label sector, due to the previous year’s decline, marked by excessive inventory buildup in Europe and North America.

The global labeling and product-decoration market grew by 4.8% as the 2024 year ended. This positive shift was driven by stabilization across various label technologies, led by pressure-sensitive and glue-applied, contributing to the market’s recovery.

Challenges and Economic Landscape
Despite these gains, challenges persist. Moderating inflation and steady global economic growth point to a potential soft landing for the industry. However, global resilience has exceeded expectations, and inflation has receded faster than anticipated, leading to more optimistic growth projections. As a result, the market is expected to have a CAGR of 3.5% from 2024 up to 2027.
