Global extrusion-coated materials market to climb 2.9% a year to 2027: AWA study

The worldwide extrusion-coated materials market is projected to grow 2.9% CAGR to 2027, according to a new study by Netherlands-based researcher AWA Alexander Watson Associates. Combined, Europe, North America and Asia markets in this field grew 3.1% between 2023 and 2024.

Asia, the largest regional market in terms of production output, continues to drive the growth of this industry, showcasing the region’s potential in shaping the industry’s future (see bar chart).

The report provides extensive examination of packaging applications, including flexible packaging, liquid packaging, and photographic end uses. It covers materials such as paperboard, paper, films, foils, polymers and more.
