The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) has released the 2025 Economic Impact of the U.S. Flexible Packaging Industry Report, developed by John Dunham & Associates.
The new analysis underscores the industry’s powerful contribution to the U.S. economy — driving $151.4 billion in total output and supporting nearly 400,000 American jobs across every state and 528 sectors of the economy.
From food and healthcare to household goods and logistics, flexible packaging continues to play a vital role in keeping products protected, extending shelf life, and reducing waste — all while creating jobs and strengthening local communities.
“The flexible packaging sector doesn’t just produce packages—it produces opportunity. As our members invest in new materials, technologies and recycling innovations, the industry’s economic and environmental value will only continue to grow.” ~Dan Felton, president & CEO, Flexible Packaging Association.
