Zurich, Switzerland-based Amcor plc and Evansville, IN-based Berry Global Group, Inc., say the European Commission (EC) has granted unconditional approval under the EU Merger Regulation for the two packaging-converting giants’ combination, satisfying the final regulatory clearance required.

In accordance with the merger agreement, this enables the companies to complete the remaining steps toward closing, which is expected on April 30. Amcor plans to announce its financial results for fiscal 2025 Q3 ended March 31 after US market close on April 30.
