ONEONTA, AL and PAMPLONA, SPAIN – Powell Engineering, Inc., and MTorres announce a strategic alliance that will leverage the expertise, resources and innovation of both companies to deliver a full range of roll-to-roll (R2R) converting solutions in market segments around the world. The combined comprehensive machinery portfolio of unwinds, rewinds, splicers and ancillary equipment is set to expand options and solutions for North American customers.
The two R2R-technology providers meet converters’ needs with offerings from basic unwinding equipment up the ladder of technology to include the latest designs of automatic splicing, roll-handling and more. Rewinding options range from the simple, motorized shaftless frames to fully automatic, center-driven turret rewinds and surface-driven rewind systems. Software solutions help customers address challenges in manufacturing, simulation, inspection and positioning.
