Global pressure-sensitive adhesives market to grow 3.6% CAGR to 2025: AWA study

The worldwide volume of pressure-sensitive adhesives will grow by 3.6% CAGR from 2022-2025, according to a new study by Amsterdam, Netherlands-based AWA Alexander Watson Associates. The volume and growth in p-s adhesives are driven principally by end-user market growth in the main markets of tapes, labelstock, hygiene, graphic-arts films and medical applications (see above).

Asia accounts for the largest proportion of volume when analyzing pressure-sensitive adhesives regionally with 47% of the market, followed by North America with 23%. Europe had lost some of its market share, now accounting for 22% of the global p-s adhesives market. South America and Africa and Middle East account for 4% and 3%, respectively.

All regions have yet to reach pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels of growth. Despite this, Asia continues to lead global growth at 5.9% CAGR. All other regions are expected to grow at a CAGR between 2.0% and 3.0% from the period 2022-2025.
